Kitakyushu Asian Center for Low Carbon Society (Developmental Support for Environmental Businesses in Asia)

A collaboration between public and private sectors centering on Kitakyushu Asian Center for Low Carbon Society that, in order to meet the needs of partners, seeks to combine and commercialize (package) technology and know-how relating to urban environmental infrastructures.

●Yasukawa Electric Corporation: Feasibility Study on High-Efficiency Motor Systems for Factories in China (2010 Project to Promote Technologies to Counter Global Warming (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI)) (October 2010))

○Nippon Magnetic Dressing Co.,Ltd.: Feasibility Study on Recycling Projects for Electronic Waste in India (METI) (March 2011)

○Eco-Material Corporation: Feasibility Study on Material Recycling Projects for Waste Plastic in Tianjin City, China (Support Project for Feasibility Studies for Promoting the Overseas Development of Venous Industries (Ministry of the Environment (MOE)) (June 2011)

●TOTO Ltd, Yasukawa Electric Corporation: Initiatives to cut greenhouse gases through TOTO's promotion of water-saving devices (toilets etc.) and Yasukawa 's introduction of EMS (energy management systems) for factories (Feasibility Study on New Mechanisms (MOE)) (July 2011)

○The Japan Research Institute, Ltd., Toshiba Corporation, IBM Japan etc. (total 8 companies): Feasibility Study on Green Townships for Malaysia's Environmental Cities Putrajaya and Cyberjaya (METI/NEDO) (August 2011) (Joint participation with Kitakyushu Asian Center for Low Carbon Society)
